I was a little skeptical buying the Hisense brand because I was unfimilar with the name. After doing some research, I found that it is a product of Hitachi. When I bought the TV from Walmart it didn't have refurbished anywhere on the labels or tags so I'm assuming it's not refurbished. I'm satisfied with the TV so far, no disappointments. As far as the picture quality, it's great with a HD connection either through your cable company or a HD antenna. I'm receiving my HD connection with a over the air antenna and the quality is great and the colors and hues were easy to adjust to a natural and realistic look. The smart TV functions were easy to set up. WiFi connection was easy to connect to. Remote has built in YouTube and Netflix. I'm very pleased with this TV no disappointments. One more thing I would like to add, you have to have a HD connection with any brand of TV you buy to receive the best picture quality.
